Gollum and the ring

I got this video from youtube. I think it shows that Gollum cannot think clearly and make good choices because of the ring. I think that Romeo has the same problem Gollum has with the ring except it is with Juliet. Romeo makes allot of bad choices because of Juliet. It is the same way with Gollum and the ring. Romeo and Juliet Act 2

The scene I have chosen to write about is the scene with Romeo and Friar Larence. This scene is weird. Mostly beacause friar larence says that romeo doesn't really love juliet and they shouldn't be getting married and he goes on and on talking about that. but then, he says, "Ok, I'll merry you to juliet". What is he thinking? I know from the prologue that Romeo and Juliet's death bringspeace to Verona but how does he know.

for this blog I chose to write about Tybalt. not many people probably chose to write about him. he is simply someone who does not like peace. he probably enjoys having enemies. If he didn't have the Capulets as enemies he would either move to a violent place start a fight with someone. In the end of the book he probably gets killed or something, because he can't live with peace.

I cannot think of anyone one like Tybalt..

Shakespearian Stories

I think the lion king is based off of hamlet, because I cannot remember the movie very well I may not have all of the facts right. First of all Simba's dad is killed by his uncle. Then Simba tries to take back the kingdom. this is very similar to the plot of Hamlet.

When whoever wrote The Lion King read hamlet they probably decided that it would be a good way to make money by making a version of hamlet for younger kids. So he followed the plot exactly. That is why The Lion King and Hamlet are so similar.

I think the book will end with the animals over throwing Napoleon. He is worse than Jones ever was. One of the animals will probably lead the other animals in a attempt against napoleon. Boxer will probably not live threw the book, Napoleon has already tried to kill him once. Snowball will probably never return and Jones or another farmer will take controll of Animal Farm.

Boo Radley saves Jem and Scout’s lives

When Boo saves Jem and Scout in the movie Scout saw everything happening including Boo killing Bob. I imagined Scout and Jem very close to the house when they were attacked and that scout could not see what was happening. I didn't imagine Boo looking like Robert Duvul with white hair. I imagine him shorter with brown hair wearing overalls and a plain white t-shirt.In the movie the fight took place much slower than I imagined probably to make it seem more important.

Extra Credit!!!

So far in English I have enjoyed blogging a lot probably because I have never had a blog before and this is a new and interesting experience. I think that it would be fun to do our journaling on the blog instead of in a notebook.
As far as To Kill a Mockingbird goes I think that it is a good book. However it does not move very fast, it took a long time to get to the good part of the book. It also is kind of hard to follow because of how long ago the story takes place. A book that is a little bit newer and that moves faster would be a better way to start the year.

ATTICUS

Atticus is a father who lets Jem and Scout get away with allot. He stands up for what he believes in and encourages Jem and Scout to do the same. For him the line between right and wrong is a very clear and fine one. Even though he lets his kids get away with allot he dosn't let them get away with crossing the line from right to wrong. All together I think that Atticus is a pretty good Father.

Boo Radley chapters 4-8

:0 A lot has happened in chapters 4-8. I think that Boo has been the one putting things in the oak tree and that Sr. Radly put the cement in the tree to discourage him. I say that Boo fixed Jem's pants not Sr. Radly. Because Jem didn't tell Scout anything about the pants until a week after they were found that makes me think that there is something else that Jem is not telling Scout. as far as the rest of the occurrences go I think they point more and more to Boo being a nice, crazy, and mysterious person who is bored of being locked up... ...unless, of course there is some reason that he chooses not to come out.
